Positively charged ions gather at the negative electrode to create "reduced water", which concentrates available
alkaline minerals, such as calcium, magnesium and potassium from the source water. This clean, healthy micro-
clustered, alkaline ionized water is drawn for drinking and cooking uses, through the main stainless steel spout.
This water is ideal for drinking and cooking.
Negatively charged ions gather at the positive electrode to make oxidized water, which concentrates acid minerals
such as nitrates, sulfides, chlorides, and fluorides from the source water. This acid ionized water also has a myriad
of external uses. It is discharged into the sink when not needed.
First the ionizer filters out any harmful contaminants in the water with a built-in filter (PJ-6000) that removes things
like chlorine, trihalomethanes, phenols, sediment, odor and organic waste.
Second, the filtered water passes into an electrolysis chamber (Chanson uses platinum-coated titanium "plates" or
electrodes). A small electric current passes between plates that ionize or split the water molecules (H2O) into two
"ions," a negatively charged hydroxyl ion (-OH) and positively charged hydrogen ion (+H).
Then the water is now separated into two streams - alkaline water (lots of –OH ions) and acid water (lots of +H ions).
We drink the alkaline water, which is now rich in –OH ions and therefore is a powerful antioxidant and we use the acid
water externally for skin, healing, plants and sanitizing. During this process the healthy, beneficial minerals in the water
are retained in the alkaline water you drink while the unhealthy minerals like fluoride flow out with the acid water.
The negative charged electrode (Alkaline) produces large amount of (-e) electrons and will force into the water when we
are drinking, whereas the positive charged electrode(Acidic) produces (-e) electrons as well, but have been sucked back
to the positive charge plate/electrode.
Therefore, acidic water do not contain any (-e) electrons, but Alkaline water do. Electrons are also a determination for get-
ting more –ORP in Alkaline water.
